Toppik Hair Fattener Adds Volume to Thinning Hair
Toppik Hair Fattener is a new, concentrated leave-in treatment and conditioner for thin or fine hair from the makers of the popular Toppik Hair Building Fibers hair loss concealer. The product contains a unique blend of Keratin proteins and nutrients to nourish and infuse the hair shaft, adding volume, shine and thickness.
How it Works
According to the manufacturer, Toppik Hair Fattener is packed with the highest concentration of pure Keratin protein of any Spencer Forrest hair care product. It works by applying an “innovative nutrient delivery system” that adjusts to your hair’s pH to open the hair shaft and allow the Keratin to be infused into the shaft. The shaft is then “closed down” to seal in the thickening proteins until your next shampoo.
Ingredients
Water, Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane, Acetamide MEA, AMP-Acrylates/Allyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Tocopherol, Simmondsia Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Keratin Amino Acids, Sorbitol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Propylene Glycol, PEG-40 Hydrogenated Caster Oil, Oleth-20, Methyl Gluceth-20, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Yellow 5, Red 33, Blue 1, Fragrance.
Directions
Apply Toppik Hair Fattener to either wet or dry hair. Massage a small amount into thinning hair from roots to ends. Leave in hair; do not rinse out. Style as usual.
Conclusion
The product’s thickening effect works to create a temporary fullness of existing thinning hair but does nothing to treat androgenic alopecia. Hair loss sufferers wishing to slow down, stop or reverse the effects of male pattern baldness or female hair loss should talk to their doctors about the clinically proven and FDA approved medical treatments, Rogaine (minoxidil) and Propecia (finasteride).
