Styling Hair After Applying Toppik and Nanogen for Thinning Hair

When using hair loss products like Toppik or Nanogen, can you still style your hair after using it? I have been reading a lot about these products but I have not found anything about hair styling after the products are applied. If you can style your hair, are you able to use a brush and comb or just your hands?

Topical hair loss concealers like Toppik and Nanogen simply add keratin fibers into your existing hair making it appear fuller and thicker. You are free to brush, comb, and style your hair any way you’d like after applying these products for thinning hair.  That said, you may have to or want to play with various hair styles to help you decide which hairstyle looks best on you.  Remember, hair loss concealers are great with providing an illusion that you have more hair than you do, but neither Nanogen or Toppik provide you with actual hair or even fake hair to brush or style.  Instead, the fibers connect to whatever hair you have left and can be used to make hair appear much thicker than it is.  Hairstyles that utilize the feathering affect, which is where hair layers over and/or on top of other hair will likely produce a greater illusion of fullness and thickening than hairstyles that don’t.
