Coalition Hair Transplant Surgeon Dr. Jean Devroye Awarded 2017 ISHRS Platinum Follicle Award
Each year, the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) honors the most talented and dedicated hair transplant surgeon with the coveted Platinum Follicle Award. The Platinum follicle is awarded to one deserving physician each year for for outstanding achievements in basic science and clinically-related research in hair pathophysiology and anatomy.
This year, we’re proud to announce that Coalition hair transplant surgeon Dr. Jean Devroye was presented this prestigious award.
Dr. Devroye has been practicing hair transplant surgery for 17 years. He regularly performs both strip surgery and follicular unit extraction (FUE) at his clinic in Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Devroye is also an innovator focused on improving instrumentation for hair transplantation. One of his greats accomplishments is the design and development of a state-of-the-art motorized system and tool for extracting follicular grafts known as WAW. In the following video, Dr. Devroye explains this unique FUE system.
