How Often Should I Use Castor Oil
I am a female suffering from hair loss and have been researching natural treatments for hair loss. Based on my research Castor Oil seems to be the most effective, but how often should I use it for the best results?
Castor Oil has become the talk of the town on the internet. The ailments it supposedly cures or stops dead in it’s tracks is astounding. A quick search showed just how popular this oil really is, now it seems to be more popular among women suffering from female pattern baldness.
Statistically speaking approximately 40 percent of women are struggling with hair loss in the United States, so you’re not alone. Dealing with hair loss can be embarrassing for men and women, and some of the treatments available have horrendous side effects. Thus, it is no surprise that thousands upon thousands are turning to so-called “all natural” treatments.
Unfortunately, there isn’t any scientific evidence that shows castor oil prevents, treats or stops hair loss. That said, castor oil has been shown to increase the absorption of other products such as Rogaine for women (minoxidil). Castor oil is safe to use and doesn’t carry any negative side effects, but if you’re using it to stop genetic hair loss or to boost hair growth you may be disappointed. Truthfully, the clinical evidence for castor oil treating androgenic alopecia (genetic hair loss) is non-existent.
However, there are several benefits associated with using castor oil . For starters, it is incredibly moisturizing and contains loads of fatty acids and antioxidants. If you’re suffering from dry, brittle and breakable hair, castor oil can certainly help. Moreover, castor oil has been shown to be effective at soothing the scalp and reducing dandruff, due to it’s antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.
In conclusion, should you take castor oil? Well, that depends, if you’re goal is to stop hair loss the answer is no. That said, it is at the very least safe to use and can improve overall hair health.
