Can You Use DermMatch and Minoxidil Together?

I have been suffering from hair loss for the past 5 years and have been using Minoxidil for the last 2 years. My question is can I use minoxidil and DermMatch together?

Yes DermMatch can be used together with Rogaine (minoxidl) however, they should not be used simultaneously. DermMatch is a hard-packed powder formula that is unlike most hair loss concealers. The reason why DermMatch is so appealing to hair loss sufferers is due to the fact that the formula is water-resistant.

If you want to use DermMatch and minoxidil together you will have to use them at separate times. This is because minoxidil needs to penetrate the scalp in order to work. If there is a hard-packed powder formula covering the scalp; the minoxidil will not be able to penetrate and work. It is recommended to apply minoxidil to a dry and clean scalp for optimal results. Therefore, you should not apply minoxidil to a scalp covered with DermMatch.

Rogaine (minoxidil) must fully dry before applying any hair product. Minoxidil is recommended to be used twice daily however, applying 1ml per day is still effective. Therefore, you could apply the minoxidil at night before going to bed and then apply the DermMatch in the morning. According to studies 5% minoxidil used once daily is as effective as 2% minoxidil used twice daily. That said, using minoxidil twice per day is the recommended dosage for achieving the best results.
