    Jay,

    You can have your hair at any length, however, in order to conceal the scar after surgery, you want to keep your hair at the minimum 1/2 inch…preferably longer.

    Those with extensive losl can still benefit from a hair transplant. (See the link to my blog below), however, developing reasonal expectations and discussing them with your doctor is vital to ensure your satisfaction.

    Do I need to have my hair a certain length to harvest for transplant and can I be given any reasonable estimate of success beforehand?
