I know this sounds a little bizarre, but I have to disagree. I had a hair transplant three weeks ago (and I atually videotaped it!). I have footage of my scalp being pulled back after a strip was removed. Upon returning to work a week later, I kept being approached by co-workers telling me “I looked younger” and couldn’t understand it(to be fair, I was wearing a baseball cap to cover the scars, which may have added on to this observation). But as someone who has used Botox in the past due to having a lot of lines in my forehead, only one or two of those lines are there now… it clearly stretched and smoothed out the area, very similar to a SLIGHT brow lift. (???)

    Samuel,

I have heard a couple of patients claim to have experienced a noticeable change in the position of the hairline after hair transplant surgery. However, this is highly unusual and not something that most patients or surgeons need to worry about. The majority of the lift will come from the neck area.

Is it even possible that after a strip surgery your hairline is pulled back? Have patients seen this happen? Or is the stretch pretty much always from the back of the neck?
