In hair transplantation, Will 2000 follicular unit grafts placed in the front of my scalp be enough to achieve adequate hair density?
Thank you for your inquiry.
The answer to this question depends on how you define the “front” of your scalp. 2000 hair grafts may or may not provide the hair density you are looking for.
Whether or not 2000 follicular unit grafts will provide adequate hair density for you will ultimately depend on:
1. The balding area to be covered
2. Your hair restoration goals including how “dense” you want your hair to appear
3. How much native hair or natural hair you have left in the recipient area (hair thinningarea of the scalp receiving transplanted hair).
4. A hair transplant patient’s hair characteristics
For example, if you are receiving 2000 follicular unit grafts in the frontal third of your scalp assuming you were bald in that area – at the very least, you will certainly receive a cosmetically pleasing hair transplant result however, depending on your hair characteristics, might find yourself wanting more hair density which can be added with a subsequent hair transplant surgery.
Posting hair transplant pictures on our hair restoration forum will be helpful so our hair loss forum members can accurately assess your particular situation.
