This question comes from a member of our hair loss social community and discussion forums:
I’ve never been pleased with my eyelashes. I’ve always wanted longer, thicker lashes, and I’m wondering if an eyelash transplant could help? I heard about a hair transplant specialist who performs eyelash transplants with body hair grafts (body hair transplantation). Any information about this doctor?
Dr Umar realized leg hair follicles possess physical characteristics similar to eyelashes and have roughly equivalent anagen cycles. This means the transplanted leg hair follicles will grow to similar lengths as natural eyelashes. Leg hair follicles look natural in the eyelash region and do not require the same maintenance and trimming as scalp follicles.
To inquire about eyelash transplantation with body hair grafts, please see Dr. Umar’s recommendation profile.
To review an example of his eyelash transplant work, see the following thread: Eyelash Transplant with Leg Hair Results – Dr. Umar.
