While it is possible to be too young for surgical hair restoration, there is no maximum age surgery.

As long as a patient is in good health and has an adequate supply of donor hair available, they’re good to go. In fact, older patients typically make better candidates for hair transplant surgery as they have well-defined Norwood Scale hair loss patterns. This makes any potential future hair loss much easier to predict than it would be in a younger patient.

The best way to find out if you’re a suitable candidate for surgery is to consult with a skilled and experienced hair transplant surgeon.
