I had my first FUE session with Dr. Diep on October 10, 2014 (2600 grafts). Dr. Diep was professional, efficient, kind and his staff did an amazing job. I slept through the first third of the procedure and literally did not feel a thing until much later (14 hour surgery). There was a normal amount of bleeding.
The results look as good as any “before” picture that I have seen on the internet. Dr. Diep delivers density and a naturalistic hairline -just as he emphasizes in all his videos. Dr. Diep even modified an old scar from a procedure that I had in the 90’s for free.
I am healing beautifully. NO bleeding, nothing out of the ordinary. As expected, my face swelled and bruised and I had a lemon head for a couple of days, but 5 days later I notice the swelling reduced significantly. If I did not have scar revision, I would be feeling amazing right now: the sutures pull and are uncomfortable. And I have a new scar now -but one that will heal to be minimally noticeable.
I have a very crusty head and am taking all the medications prescribed to control swelling and stave off infection. I am following the procedures for after care -and so far I see no sign of infection. The grafts are dense enough to give me an idea of what the final result will be: I will no longer appear to be receding or thinning. I can grow out my hair and style it for the first time in almost 20 years. If I get results anywhere near other Dr. Diep patients, then I will be a happy man indeed!
