Dr. Carlos Wesley to Author Chapter on Androgenic Alopecia (Genetic Hair Loss) in 4th Edition of “Treatment of Skin Disease” Dermatology Text
As a frequent contributor to various hair loss textbooks, academic journals, and research articles, recommended hair transplant surgeon Dr. Carlos Wesley’s opinion, and expertise, is highly valued. Knowing this, it should come as no surprise that he was recently asked to author a chapter on androgenic alopecia (genetic hair loss) in the 4th edition of the Treatment of Skin Disease dermatology textbook.
According to Dr. Wesley:
I am honored to have been selected to serve as an author in the upcoming dermatology reference textbook, Treatment of Skin Disease, 4th edition. I will author a chapter on androgenetic alopecia. In addition to covering all of the various advancements in hair transplant surgery, the chapter will provide updated information on the various medical treatments for this condition that affects both men and women of all ages.
This textbook is unique in that its emphasis is on evidence-based medicine. To this end, each author not only provides a summary of information related to each dermatologic condition on which their article is focused (androgenic alopecia in my case), but also provides my physician colleagues a comprehensive list of the most up-to-date articles and most noteworthy investigations related to androgenic alopecia.
Congratulations, Dr. Wesley!
