Hair Coloring After a Hair Transplant Procedure
This [tag]hair loss[/tag] question was answered by Dr. Glenn Charles of Florida who is a member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. His professional answer is below.
After a [tag]hair transplant[/tag], how long before my [tag]hair stylist[/tag] can use [tag]hair color[/tag] (dye) on my hair?
I recommend to my hair loss patients that they have hair coloring done at least 1 week prior to their [tag]hair restoration[/tag] procedure, and wait at least 3-4 weeks after the surgery before coloring again. [tag]Hair transplantation[/tag] is an expensive procedure. Thus, it is better to be on the safe side.
Dr. Glenn Charles, D.O.
