Hair Coloring After a Hair Transplant Procedure
This hair loss question was answered by Dr. Glenn Charles of Florida who is a member of the Coalition of Independent Hair Restoration Physicians. His professional answer is below.
After a hair transplant, how long before my hair stylist can use hair color (dye) on my hair?
I recommend to my hair loss patients that they have hair coloring done at least 1 week prior to their hair restoration procedure, and wait at least 3-4 weeks after the surgery before coloring again. Hair transplantation is an expensive procedure. Thus, it is better to be on the safe side.
