I’m 25 years old and just started losing my hair.   I’ve been told by a few people that it’s probably because I wear a hat.   Is this true?

I was always one to wear a hat starting from when I was about 14 years old.   When I first started losing my hair between the ages of 21 and 22 I was told the same thing.   “You are losing hair because you wear that hat all the time”.   Of course in fear I stopped wearing a hat as often until I realized that I was still losing my hair.

Though this is apparently a common belief by many, I can assure you that it’s a myth.

To learn more about the real cause of hair loss I encourage you to read the following article  on our website.

For a list of common hair loss myths, I encourage you to read the following thread  on our hair restoration discussion forum.
