Hi, I’m about 7 weeks out from my hair transplant.   Over the last week I have been seeing pimples on my head.   They hurt when I touch them.   Do you know why this would be?   Please help!

Fear not!

This is perfectly normal.   The pimples you are seeing on your head are actually signs of activity under the scalp.   In other words, it means the hairs are starting to grow but have not yet broken through the skin.   This typically starts between 6 weeks and 12 weeks and can continue up to several months.   The reason that it happens over a period of time is because all of the hairs will start growing at differrent times.

In order to see what to expect after hair transplantation, I recommend reading the following thread: When will I look normal after a hair transplant?.   Feel free to join into the discussion.
