Hair Transplant Scar Still Pink After 6 Months
I’m six months out from a hair transplant and although my scar is pencil thin, its still pink to light red and has been this way for about two months. I’ve read that the discoloration should be gone by now. Is this normal? I don’t recall having any other scarring problem in the past and I usually heal pretty quickly.
If your scar is just a little pink at six months after your hair restoration procedure, this is normal. If it is dark red, inflamed, or irritated, you should speak to your hair transplant surgeon.
Scar maturation is at completion approximately one year after surgery.
