This question, from a member of our hair loss social community and discussion forums, was answered by Coalition hair transplant surgeon Dr. James DeYarman:
Dr. DeYarman, if a patient has plenty of donor hair and needs only crown work done, how many FUE grafts can a patient typically receive in a single crown focused hair transplant at your clinic? I guess I am asking, can you and have you on a regular basis done 2000-2500 FUE grafts in a single day?
In a second hair restoration procedure, you have to start balancing out densities between transplanted and existing hair. I have found 1500-2000 grafts are needed the first time in the crown. I can do up to 2000 in a day. For 3000+ it is a two day procedure.
