This question, addressed by Coalition hair restoration surgeon Dr. William Lindsey, was shared by a member of our Hair Loss Social Community and Discussion Forums:
In my opinion (some will disagree), there is a short list of special hair transplant surgeons that routinely get outstanding results. I am not here to name them and argue about who is or is not on that list but I wanted to know why is that list (again, in my opinion) so short? It is definitely a skilled job for the physician and the techs but, when I look at it, I would think that every major city could host a clinic that runs at the top level. However, there is only a handful throughout the world.
There are probably more, but this came to mind immediately. No hair restoration clinic is perfect. All have less than perfect outcomes but the good clinics can minimize disappointing results by adhering to high standards and consistency.
