Nizoral ([tag]Ketoconazole[/tag]) is typically recommended and prescribed for the reduction of scaling due to dandruff, however it has been found that its ability to create a healthy scalp environment can help hair loss sufferers maintain optimal scalp conditions for [tag]hair maintenance[/tag] and [tag]hair regrowth[/tag] when used in conjunction with [tag]hair loss medication[/tag]s such as Propecia and minoxidil.
Typically, the 2% concentration is recommended to be used three times per week, 5 minutes per application. However, in the United States the 2% concentration is available only by prescription. The 2% is available over-the-counter in Canada.
