I had a follicular unit extraction hair transplant 50 days ago. Since then, my natural non-transplanted hair has become thin, dry and dead. I’m only using Rogaine (minoxidil) and taking vitamins. My concern is that my natural hair has become thin, dry and dead. I’m so depressed that I want to get rid of the transplanted hair.
You are not yet two months post-op. I know first-hand how stressful it can be during the hair transplant healing and growth phase. However, you aren’t doing yourself any favors by becoming stressed and worried. Try to relax and understand that it will take a full year for your hair transplant to mature. You won’t see initial hair growth for three to four months and you won’t see significant changes for at least 6 months.
