How many hair transplants will I need to get my hair back?   Will one hair transplant  be enough?

Good question.

It is very typical that a hair transplant patient will need/want more than one to accomplish his/her hair restoration goals.    It’s very rare indeed that any hair transplant patient only has one session unless they have a very small amount of hair loss or limited donor supply (the area on the sides and back of the head where hair is removed for hair transplantation).

Even if your hair loss is absolutely stable and doesn’t progress any further; the chances are that your first hair transplant will be a foundation for second hair transplant session in order to  further refine, thicken or fill in additional balding areas.   Hair is like money you always want more and you will always want to make it better.   We  ALL do!

Top  hair restoration physicians  will endeavour to achieve the appropriate and highest number of follicular unit grafts possible without jeopardizing your safety  in order to satisfy as much density and coverage  as possible in a single hair transplant.

The initial hair transplant session will come in so slowly and gradually that you will  not necessarily notice the changes without taking comparison pictures.   The realization that you have new hair growth takes time.

Try not to scrutinize your results constantly by inspecting it every chance you get.   Even at month 5/6/7 hair transplant patients are planning their second hair transplantation, but my advice is to wait until your first hair transplant fully matures between 12-18 months.
