This question, from a member of our hair loss social community and discussion forums, was answered by Coalition hair transplant surgeon Dr. Glenn Charles:

I am sure somebody has asked this before, but I thought I would ask as well. Is it bad to start Saw Palmetto two years after hair transplant surgery along with Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil)? I really don’t want to go through another “shed” from the Saw Palmetto if it starts to work.

I don’t see why there would be any harm in combining the hair loss drug Propecia and Saw Palmetto. I have never seen any studies showing the efficacy of the combined use of these two DHT blockers.
