I had a hair transplant for female pattern baldness 2 1/2 weeks ago. It is healing well, but I seem to have lost much of the hair that was already there &, of course, no new hair will grow for a while.
I have read different things online about how typical this is after surgery. At this point I have less hair than before the surgery. Is this normal?
The good news is that female hair transplant recipients normally regrow hair affected by shock loss. You may find Rogaine (minoxidil) helps with hair growth during this time but it will take between 6 months and one year before you’ll see significant improvement.
