25 Year Old With Hair Loss in Temple Area
Hi, I am bald just at my temples. I am now 25 years old. Is there anything I can do now to help regrow my hair? Is hair transplant surgery an option?
FDA approved hair loss medications such as Propecia and Rogaine work very well at preventing future hair loss though there is no guarantee. Regrowing hair however, is much less common but still possible with these medications. It might be worth researching and considering these two medications at the very least to prevent future hair loss.
Hair Transplantation might be an option for you at some point – however, if you are experiencing minimal hair loss and are only 25 years of age, I’d suggest that you are most likely not a candidate since hair loss is unpredictable.
I recommend reading the following artices:
What should I consider when researching hair transplantation?
Am I too young for a hair transplant?
It is always best however, to consult with an ethical and qualified hair restoration physician that performs state of the art hair transplantation using ultra refined follicular unit transplantation. The hair restoration physician will develop a hair restoration plan that is in the patient’s long term best interest.

Changa,
To date, Propecia (finasteride) and Rogaine (minoxidil) are the only proven effective methods to slow down, stop, or reverse pattern baldness. There are many so called “natural cures” however, be very cautious. Many of these so called cures and preventative natural remedies have little or no scientific backing to suggest they work.
Best wishes,
