Is there anyone who uses dutasteride and finasteride together to treat hair loss? Would it increase the chances of growing hair? Or will one eliminate the other?
While dutasteride hasn’t been clinically proven and FDA approved to treat hair loss, it’s a more potent drug and could very well be more effective than finasteride. However, higher potency means more potential for greater side effects. Thus, I encourage you to speak to a physician before getting on either treatment. In my opinion, start with finasteride for a year and see how it works for you. Then, you can re-evaluate whether or not dutasteride is needed based on how you respond to finasteride hair loss treatment.
