What is the best way to design a hairline for a hair transplant? I have seen some hairlines designed in an irregular pattern and others that appear to be very linear. Also, does the length of the donor strip vary with the number of grafts to be transplanted?
I customize the length of the donor region with the desired number of follicular unit grafts. In some, with less laxity, a longer two layer trichophytic scar has less tension and creates a better cosmetic closure. This concept is especially important for those who wear shorter hair styles.

Dr. Richard S. Keller
