Why is it that it seems socially acceptable to make fun of people suffering from hair loss, while it’s inappropriate to point out someone’s weight issues, acne, or other imperfections?

Bald people are often the butt of many jokes. And while those that do it usually don’t intend any harm, it can often add to the high levels of anxiety and depression that baldness sometimes causes in people.
